Evan Morgan built his reputation on the streets as a man nobody wanted to cross. But after years of violence, betrayal, and survival, he leaves behind his criminal empire to build the one thing he never thought he would have — a family. Now married to Detective Zola Carter Morgan, the woman who once hunted him, Evan is determined to give his children Paige and Kane the life he never had. But escaping his past comes at a price. When his former partner Kash Zimmerman returns with a dangerous agenda and a score to settle, Evan’s carefully built world begins to collapse. Forced back into the criminal world he tried to abandon, Evan must protect the people he loves while facing the man who knows every secret he’s tried to bury. With Zola caught between her duty as a detective and her loyalty as a wife, and his best friend Anthony Brooks standing beside him one last time, Evan must answer the question that has followed him his entire life.
